Basic e.g. guide for Sponsors & Road Racing Athletes

Dear Sponsors

Motor sports are steadily growing in popularity and motorcycle racing is at the forefront of this growth. Are you looking for a great new way for your business to reach new customers and build brand recognition within new markets? We would like the opportunity to discuss a customized program structured to help you create market exposure and building brand recognition for your products/services.

In the last year alone we have generated more than 50,000 viewers and potential clients across the board. (data included at the end of this document)

We are confident that we can develop a sponsorship package that will promote business and products/services at these events and help develop brand awareness and product differentiation against other competitor products. We can develop plans that range from the simplest with logos on the bikes to the most elaborate with a canopy devoted to your product in the pit and a sample give-away to attending race fans. These packages can range from only a few hundred pounds to a few thousand, basically, any level of representation can be arranged to fit the needs, visions, and budget of you and your company.

There are many ways in which you can gain exposure through motorcycle racing sponsorship.

For one, the East Midlands Race Association & NG Road Racing series is a club but “National” series, meaning that it is fully recognised motorcycle championship run under the Auto Cycle Union Club rules.

This means we get to race at some of the top circuits in the country, for example, Mallory Park, Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Snetterton and Donington Park among others.

The visual impact of a race bike speaks for itself and it is an eye-catching and exciting sport by nature. As a race bike has to be transported from race to race it will attract attention on the road (my bike is carried on an open trailer when dry) plus the van towing will have sponsor logos. This adds up to a couple of thousand road miles of mobile advertising per racing season!

There is a possibility that the motorcycle will be photographed and featured in motorcycle articles, however, it will be displayed on various websites after every single event. Often the name of a major sponsor is mentioned in association with the team/rider.

Corporate entertainment, can work for you twofold. While you are bringing your clients to watch racing other riders and their sponsors are doing the same!

While I can provide many ideas regarding the various levels of support and partnership available I am keenly interested to know what you, as a potential sponsor, feel I can do for your organisation . As a guide however I would like to offer a typical outline list of example packages for your consideration.

startBasic end
With reference to the diagram found above (fig1) , individual areas of the bike and Van can carry a logo or company advertisement at a tariff relative to the index number shown. The areas labelled ‘1', being in a more prominent position; naturally carry a higher tariff than those shown as 2 or 3. Additionally small areas outside of the defined markings would be available upon request at a rate lower than tariff 3. This could also include badges or embroidery work worn on the race leathers.

Accordingly, the cost is cumulative dependant upon the number of advertising spaces purchased.

startIntermediate end
An intermediate package may be considered as one where, apart from a number of advertising spaces being purchased, the bike (and myself if required) would be made available for a number of photographic opportunities, for example, to be used in some company literature/brochures, or as a display item at a product launch.

startHigh Level Sponsorship end
Typically, your organisation would be considered the “major sponsor”, opting to display logos in any number of the prominent locations and choosing to paint the bike in either the company colours or paint scheme of your choice. You may also opt to have the rider's race leathers co -ordinate to complement this scheme.

The aforementioned photographic opportunities could be supplemented further at track side with provision of myself to be available to answer your client's questions, talk them through the race procedures and basic interactive day.

This is not designed to be a definitive sponsorship structure but merely a list of suggestions. I will of course be more than happy to discuss any combination of the above examples, level of investment and requests or ideas that you may have.
